Identify a common problem that could be solved with an app. So, I came up with a transportation problem in my born city. "Corredores" are meant to be for helping Lima's Transportation.

Approach

For my first project as a UX/UI Designer, I decided to tackle a problem I had experienced for many years, public transportation. To give you some context, in Lima, Peru, informal or illegal public transportation is common. However, the local government introduced an integrated bus system called "Corredores" that covered a significant part of the city.

This system had its advantages but didn't keep up with technological advancements. To use these Corredores, passengers required a card called "Lima Pass," which worked like a debit card for paying public transportation fares.

To understand the users' perspective, I conducted interviews where I learned that I wasn't alone in facing these issues. I found that many users had troubles loading digital credit onto their Lima Pass cards and didn't know their card balance. They have been struggling with these problems since 2019.

To find a solution, I studied how transportation apps in other countries worked. After learning from these examples, I adapted them to create a model suitable for Lima. This proposal progressed from Lo-Fi wireframes to Hi-Fi ones through usability testing and continuous iterations.
